Echoes and Ashes

Echoes and Ashes is customizable card game, not unlike a collectible card game. It is easy to learn, play, and teach. Its design is minimalist, maintains a degree of variability, and provides the opportunity for skillful play.

You will build your own deck of fifteen cards, choosing from among forty fighter cards. You can include duplicates. Cards of the same faction can have powerful synergies, but committing to one faction makes you vulnerable to another. Every card is worth considering.

The fallen are not forgotten. Once one of your fighters has been defeated, future fighters you play can wield or wear something from their fallen predecessor. When evaluating a card, players must consider which of the four keepsakes it will leave behind: a blade, a staff, a book, or a cloak.

Games are quick, taking as little as 10-15 minutes per player. They can be played by 2-4 players, with two players being optimal.
